Indonesia has a strong commitment to achieving the targets set out in the Sustainable Development Goals. For this reason, support from all stakeholders is needed for the implementation of effective policies and programs to achieve the SDGs. As one of the institutions directly involved in its achievement, universities play a strategic role in increasing the credibility of policies and programs independently.

USU's Center for Sustainable Development Goals (TPB/SDGs) also facilitates capacity building to increase analytical capacity for academics, policy makers from the national and local levels in conducting analyzes related to the SDGs. In addition, the USU SDGs Center can provide assistance for acceleration to national and local governments in accelerating the achievement of SDGs in accordance with the targets that have been set.

The Center for the Study of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs Center) at the University of North Sumatra (USU) is an institution that plays a strategic role in helping Indonesia achieve SDGs/SDGs by 2030. The USU SDGs Center is a forum for carrying out multidisciplinary research related to SDGs at global, national and local levels.
