Availability of nutrients in the soil are the main factors that determine the growth and crop
production. This research aims to know the response of compost enriched eggshells and zeolite on
soil inceptisol of some aspects inceptisol soil properties and soybean growth. The research was
conducted in UPT Palawija Tanjung Selamat land and Soil Biology Laboratory Faculty of
Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. This research using a randomized block design factorial.
The first factor is compost enriched eggshell consists of without compost, 10 tons / ha compost, 20
tons / ha compost, 30 tons / ha compost and The second factor is zeolite consists of without zeolite,
3 tons / ha zeolite, 3 tons / ha zeolite enriched green manure. The results showed that the compost
enriched eggshell can increase soil pH, soil Ca exchange and soil organic in a linear, zeolite
application can increase plant nitrogen absorption, interaction between compost enriched eggshell
with zeolite can increase soil Ca exchange.
Ketersediaan hara di dalam tanah merupakan faktor utama yang menentukan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon kompos diperkaya cangkang telur dan zeolit pada tanah inceptisol terhadap beberapa aspek sifat tanah inceptisol serta pertumbuhan kedelai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan UPT Balai Induk Palawija Tanjung Anom dan laboratorium Biologi Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah kompos diperkaya cangkang telur terdiri dari tanpa kompos, kompos 10 ton/ha, kompos 20 ton/ha, kompos 30 ton/ha dan faktor kedua adalah zeolit terdiri dari tanpa zeolit, zeolit 3 ton/ha dan zeolit diperkaya nitrogen 3 ton/ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompos diperkaya cangkang telur dapat meningkatkan pH tanah, Ca tukar tanah dan C organik tanah secara linear, pemberian zeolit dapat meningkatkan serapan nitrogen tanaman, interaksi antara kompos diperkaya cangkang telur dengan zeolit dapat meningkatkan Ca tukar tanah.
