The government try to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by implementing various policies such as the large-scale social restriction (PSBB) policy, as well as other related policies. However, this policy has not been effective in view of the level of the spread of COVID-19 which has not decreased. Lack of public awareness is the cause of the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia. For this reason, this study examines the effect of social support and social trust on the efficacy response to COVID-19 using the structural equation modeling (SEM) method. This factor was chosen because social support is an important aspect of the life of Indonesian society. This research was conducted on formal and informal workers, because workers are still required to have activities outside the home. The results show that social support and social trust are more influential on formal workers than informal workers. Strategy recommendations are compiled based on literature studies. After that, the weighting was done by using a relationship matrix. The results of the relationship matrix are seven prioritized strategies for formal workers, and three prioritized strategies for informal workers.
Karina Nisa Aprilia, Erlinda Muslim Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/8506 Sat, 28 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Implementation of 5S in Improving of Palm Oil Mill Working Environment https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/8641
A work environment describes a place for employees affect them to do their tasks. A good work environment will certainly make employees do and spend all their energy and mind to work optimally. A comfortable feeling of the work environment can reduce boredom at work. This comfort feelings have an impact on increasing motivation and producing employee job satisfaction. The condition of the working environment in palm oil industry is currently classified as messy where there are still some tools scattered on the factory floor, there is mud and slippery puddles in various places such as floors or stairs. Conditions like this certainly need to be repaired immediately to avoid the risk of work accidents and increase employees' comfortable. Improvement of working environment conditions can be done by various methods, one of the methods is 5S method. 5S spelling as (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) is one of the effective tool in management to improve the work culture of workers and the conditions of the work environment in a factory. Based on the evaluation results, the evaluation categories of 5S implementations are Seiri of 16 score, Seiton of 16 score, Seiso of 9 score, Seiketsu of 8 score, Shitsuke of 7 score. The results of this total score show the 5S value of palm oil mill is in the average score of 56 total score.
Khalida Syahputri, Indah Rizkya, Rahmi Meilina Sari, Albert Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/8641 Sat, 28 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Proposed Design of Sewing Process Improvement to Minimize Polyester Technical Sportswear Product Defect at PT. X Based on The DMAIC Method Approach https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9204
Various companies want to improve product quality and process speed for customer satisfaction in the current era, including PT. X. Problems at PT. X is the number of defects that exceed the company's tolerance limit. The methodology used is a structured DMAIC method to identify the root causes of defects and resolve them. This study aimed to reduce defects in sportswear products caused by problems in the sewing process. The results showed that the problem in the sewing process was due to the process performance that still did not meet the standard process requirements, so the resulting output did not match the company's specifications. Therefore, it is necessary to design an alarm timer integrated with the sewing machine to minimize the frequency of defects in the sewing process. The design of the alarm timer uses the Reverse Engineering design method, which can minimize defects in the sewing process and increase the capability of the PT. X process.
Fandi Achmad, Marina Yustiana Lubis, Yunita Nugrahaini Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9204 Sat, 28 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0700 The Implementation Of Machine Learning In Demand Forecasting : A Review Of Method Used In Demand Forecasting With Machine Learning https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9290
Demand Forecasting is essentials in making production decisions. Demand forecasting accuracy affects supply chain management and can reduce its costs. The development of information technology, especially artificial intelligence, has many benefits in many industrial sectors. The development of artificial intelligence is also applied to demand forecasting. The development of Artificial Intelligence technology in forecasting can produce better accuracy than conventional methods that do not use Artificial Intelligence. The use of machine learning in demand forecasting is in various industrial sectors ranging from small-scale industry to large-scale industry. This article will discuss research on the use of machine learning in demand forecasting for the things discussed, including machine learning models, data processing methods, and research variables. The purpose of this review is to see a comparison of the accuracy of each model, method, and variable used in demand forecasting using machine learning. The results of the review show that the characteristics of different product fluctuations require a different demand forecasting model approach. An appropriate approach can produce higher forecasting accuracy. Mistake in choosing a demand forecasting model can reduce the accuracy of demand forecasting. The demand forecasting model must also need to be updated to improve accuracy.
Sri Baginda Dalimunthe, Rosnani Ginting, Sukaria Sinulingga Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9290 Mon, 30 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Path Balance Analysis with Artificial Bee and Fuzzy Algorithm Approach on Plastic Chopping Machine https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9288
Line balancing is a series of work stations (machinery and equipment) used in the manufacture of products. Line balancing usually consists of a number of work areas called work stations which are handled by one or more operators and it is possible to handle using various tools. The main purpose in compiling line balancing is to establish and balance the workload allocated to each work station. If the trajectory is not balanced, it can result in work inefficiency in several work stations where one work station with another has an unbalanced workload. The balancing of the machines used in the assembly process must also be done. Likewise in purchasing and designing machines that have the required capacity. In addition, balancing the machines used, both in the use of two machines to get the required capacity or slowing down machines that work too fast or turn on or turn off machines intermittently, needs to be done. In addition, balancing the machines used, both in the use of two machines to get the required capacity or slowing down machines that work too fast or turn on or turn off machines intermittently, and others need to be done. The problem of line balancing has received considerable attention perhaps beyond the usual assembly line. Several techniques produce the right solution for the given assumptions. Other techniques are designed to generate approximate solutions based on practical considerations. The main concern is not to achieve perfect balance but to obtain optimal layout and flow with respect to other production operations.
Muhammad Khatami, Rosnani Ginting, Aulia Ishak Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9288 Sat, 28 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Macro Ergonomic Analysis and Design for Optimizing the Work Environment : A Literature Review https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9286
The purpose of this literature is to understand the application of macroergonomics in various fields. Macroergonomics is the study of work systems which include organizational structures (complexity, formalization, centralization, policies, and processes) with a socio-technical approach used to improve work systems. The method used is a thematic analysis of articles on the application of macroergonomics in various industries. Based on the results of the article review, the process of implementing macroergonomics is analysis, design, implementation, control, and evaluation. All review articles carry out macro ergonomics analysis and design within the scope of the work system as a whole but do not intervene in all factors/problems. The reviewed articles show that the intervention is carried out only on a few factors, where human and organizational factors are always involved. The application of macroergonomics can achieve many goals at once that are beneficial to organizations, workers, and even consumers. The highest frequency of macro ergonomics objectives in consecutive review articles was: quality, occupational health, safety, work existence, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Suci Ayu Lestari, Listiani Nurul huda, Rosnani Ginting Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9286 Sat, 28 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Implementation of Macro Ergonomic Participatory In Physical Work Environment: A Literature Review https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9294
All types of work must have potential hazards in the work, namely work-related illnesses or work accidents. The level of potential occupational hazard is influenced by the type of production activity, the technology used, the materials used, the design and construction environment, and the quality of management and workers. Musculoskeletal disorders, caused not only by aging but also by unergonomic settings of the equipment used, are one of the frequent occupational diseases caused by worker-job mismatch. This study aims to review the participatory macroergonomics literature based on the collected references on the development and application of creating ergonomic physical work environments. Participatory methods are methods that aim to find solutions agreed upon by managers, workers and ergonomics experts, and the result of this research is the ergonomic design of work environments.
M. Eating healthy food is an effort to maintain a healthy body. In fact, many people still have a poor eating diet. Poor eating diet can cause a non-contagious disease. The high number of patients that suffer with diseases will be a burden for both the community and the state. This is because a non-contagious disease is a disease that is not contagious but has a high risk of death. A non-contagious disease patient will take a long time to be healed and the medication itself cost a lot of money. To maintain a healthy body consumption of healthy food is important, especially for people of Jakarta that have a poor eating diet. This study was conducted to identify the factors that influence the habit of eating healthy foods using an extended model of Theory of Planned behavior (TPB) by adding the factors of Health Consciousness and Knowledge of Healthy Food. Analysis of the mediation and moderation effect of the factors was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Strategy formulation to develop the business must be adjusted to the wishes of consumers to achieve competitive advantage. Business strategy focuses on growth and profitability by providing a framework for functional and operational strategies in terms of which products should be developed, how they should be priced and distributed, as well as which market segments should be targeted. The strategy formulation is determined in three steps consisting of: input step, matching step and decision-making step. The input step focuses for analyzing Company’s Internal and External Factor. The matching step focuses for determining strategies based on Company’s Internal and External Factor by using SWOT, SPACE and BCG Matrix. Decision step focuses for determining the best strategy using the Quantitave Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). This paper aims to review several studies that use formulation strategy methods in making the best decisions for companies. Without being based on a formulation strategy, it is very difficult for companies in making the best decisions to achieve competitive advantage
Risdarwanto, Harmein Nasution, Sugiharto Pujangkoro Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti/article/view/9459 Sat, 28 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Line Balancing Analysis to Optimize Production line of Bushing Rubber Using Theory of Constraints and Heuristics Method with Promodel Simulation at PT.
