Aims and Scope

SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal is a journal aimed to provide a forum for publishing scientific articles in the field of medical or health science. The main focus of SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal is tropical medicine and oncology medicine also the rest of medical fields as the additional focus. To achieve its aim, SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal publishes research articles, review articles, and case reports especially manuscript with a regional or national data to raise the interest of the reader in tropical medicine or oncology medicine as the main focus and the rest of medical fields as the addition focus.

Publication Frequency

SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal publishes an issue 2 (two) times a year, spesifically in February and August. It is electronically published via journal website http://talenta.usu.ac.id/SCRIPTA.

Peer Review Process

First of all, author will submit its manuscript (research article, review article, and case report) to the editorial board. Manuscript is made either in English or Indonesian with abstracts written in English and Indonesian. Before editorial board submits the manuscript to the reviewer, the manuscript must be reviewed first by the editorial board whether the manuscript is needed for the publication or put at waiting list for a temporary. Editorial board will review the format of the manuscript (submitted by the authors) whether it’s suit with the formatting of SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal (guideline is available). The reviewer of the manuscript is someone who understands the main topic of the manuscript and able to give a relevant review to guide the editorial board in publishing the manuscript.

Then, the manuscript will be submitted to the reviewer for 2-4 weeks after the manuscript was submitted to the reviewer. The main concern of the reviewer is the scientific and ethical content of the manuscript. After the review complete, the result of the review can be submitted to the editorial board through the Open Journal System (OJS) by the reviewer itself.

After the manuscripts passed the review stage, the manuscript will be reviewed by the editorial board about the appropriateness and validity of the manuscript according to the review of the reviewer. If the reviewer state the manuscript is ready to be published without any revision, then the manuscript can directly enter the publishing phase immediately. Meanwhile, if the reviewer state the manuscript needs some revisions by the author about the scientific content or ethical content, then the editorial board will return the manuscript to the author to be revised according to the review of the reviewer.The recommended or type of the revision by the reviewer can be whether a major revisions or minor revisions depending on the review of the reviewer.

In the publishing phase, editorial board will summarize the manuscript that has been stated ready to publish by the reviewer in 1 volume consisting at least 10 manuscripts. The included manuscripts in 1 volume is summarized according to the internal discussion of the editorial board. The author of the manuscripts will be given a notification about the date and volume of publication and the hardcopy of SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal. The publication will be done offline through the hardcopy/print-out copy of the SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal or done online by publication using website (talenta.usu.ac.id/scripta).

Open Access Policy

SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal provides immediate open access to its content with the intention of creating a condition where the medical and health knowledge freely available to the public and especially to fellow medical and health students around Indonesiain purpose of supporting a greater global exchange of knowledge.
