The Effect of Coffee Husk Compost and NPK 16:16:16 on the Growth and Production of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) Kawali Variety in Ratun 1

This study aims to determine the response of growth and production of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) Kawali Variety to the Application of Coffee Peel Waste and NPK 16:16:16 Fertilizer in Ratoon I. This research was conducted at Jalan Harmonika Baru, Padang Bulan Selayang II, Medan Selayang District, Medan with an altitude of ± 25 meters. This research was conducted from June to October 2023. The design used Randomized Bloc Design (RBD) with 2 factors I coffee skin compost: 0 kg/plot, 3.5 kg/plot, 7 kg/plot, and 10.5 kg/plot. Factor II NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer: 0 g/planting hole and 20 g/planting hole. Based on the results of the research conducted that the provision of coffee skin compost has a significant effect on plant, stem diameter, number of tillers, 1000 seed production, seed production per sample. The application of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer has an effect on stem diameter. The interaction of the treatment of coffee husk compost and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height.
