Genetic diversity in a plant population is very important, so that selection with the aim of obtaining superior characters can be done. Genetic diversity can occur due to changes in the nucleotides of DNA constituents. The aim of the research was to analyze genetic diversity of origin oil palm DNA by using spesific primer for oleic acid and SSR primer. This research was conducted in Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory,Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, from March to July 2017. A total of 36 origin of oil palm DNA stock samples issued by PT. Socfin Indonesia was identified using specific ILY-2 primer marker for oleic acid, FR-3300 primer and FR-1753 primer. The results showed analysis of phylogenic dendogram using DARwin 6.0.13 spread 36 samples into three main groups. The first group consist of 12 samples, the second groups consist of 19 samples and the third group consist of 2 samples.
Keragaman genetik dalam suatu populasi tanaman sangat penting, agar seleksi dengan maksud untuk mendapatkan karakter-karakter unggul dapat dilakukan. Keanekaragaman genetik dapat terjadi karena adanya perubahan nukleotida penyusun DNA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keragaman genetik DNA origin kelapa sawit dengan menggunakan primerspesifik untuk asam oleat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara, dimulai dari bulan Maret hingga Juli 2017. 36 sampel stok DNA dari tanaman kelapa sawit yang dikeluarkan oleh PT. Socfin Indonesia diidentifikasi menggunakan primer spesifik ILY-2 untuk karakter asam oleat, primer FR-3300 dan primer FR-1753.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan analisis filogenik dendogram menggunakan DARwin 6.0.13membagi 36 sampel menjadi tiga kelompok utama. Kelompok pertama sebanyak 12 sampel, kelompok kedua sebanyak 19 sampel, dan kelompok ketiga sebanyak 2 sampel.
