Utilization goat urine fermented with EM4 as organic fertilizer can improve the productivity of Brachiaria humidicola and Digitaria milanjiana. The study was conducted in the field of Laboratory Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara from June to November 2017, using a randomized block design factorial with 2 factors. The first factor was the type of grass (Brachiaria humidicola and Digitaria milanjiana) and the second factor was fertilizer doses (0, 100, 150, 200, 250 ml/polybag). The variables observed were plant height, fresh weight production, and dry matter production. The results showed that increasing dose fermented goat urine give the very real result (P<0.01) to increased plant height, fresh weight production and dry matter production and the productivity D. milanjiana highter than B. humidicola. Increasing dose fermented goat urine can increased on productivity of B. humidicola and D. milanjiana.
Pemanfaatan urin kambing yang difermentasi dengan EM4 sebagai pupuk organik dapat meningkatkan produktivitas Brachiaria humidicola dan Digitaria milanjiana. Penelitian dilakukan di lapang Laboratorium Ilmu Hewan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara dari Juni hingga November 2017, menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah jenis rumput (Brachiaria humidicola dan Digitaria milanjiana) dan faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk (0, 100, 150, 200, 250 ml / polybag). Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, produksi bobot segar, dan produksi bahan kering. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dosis urin kambing fermentasi memberikan hasil yang sangat nyata (P <0,01) terhadap peningkatan tinggi tanaman, produksi bobot segar dan produksi bahan kering dan produktivitas D. milanjiana lebih tinggi daripada B. humidicola. Peningkatan dosis urine kambing fermentasi dapat meningkatkan produktivitas B. humidicola dan D. milanjiana.
