Pengaruh Konsentrasi Air Kelapadan Lama Waktu Penyimpanan Batang Bawah Terhadap Persentase Keberhasilan Okulasi dan Pertumbuhan Ubi kayu Mukibat
The influence of coconut water concentration and duration storage of rootstock to the percentage of budding success and cassava’s (mukibat) growth

The purpose of the research was to determine the influence of coconut water concentration and duration storage of rootstock to the percentage of buddingsuccess and cassava’s (mukibat) growth. The research was conducted at the screen house of Agriculture Faculty USU (± 32m asl) in March-June 2017 using Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) repeated 3 (three) times. The first factor was the coconut water concentration with 4 (four) levels ie without coconut water, 25% coconut water, 50% coconut water and 75% coconut water and second factor of storage duration of rootstock with 3 (three) treatment levels: 1 (one) week storage, 2 (two) weeks storage, and 3 (three) weeks storage. Parameter observed were percentage of buddingsuccess, spinning rate, shoot height, shoot diameter, number of leaves, number of tubers, root wet weight, and root dry weight. The results showed that the coconut water concentration had a significant effect on the success rate of budding, root wet weight, and root dry weight. Where the best coconut water concentration is at 50% coconut water treatment. The longer duration storage of rootstock gives fewer percentage of buddingsuccess. The best storage time for rootstock was 1 (one) week storage. The interaction of coconut water concentration and storage duration of rootstock had significant effect on the number of leaves.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi air kelapa dan lama penyimpanan batang bawah terhadap persentase keberhasilan okulasi ubikayu mukibat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di rumah kasa Fakultas Pertanian USU (±32m dpl) pada bulan Maret-Juni 2017 menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial diulang 3 (tiga) kali. Faktor pertama konsentrasi air kelapa dengan 4 (empat) taraf yaitu: tanpa pemberian air kelapa, air kelapa 25%, air kelapa 50% dan air kelapa 75% serta faktor kedua lama penyimpanan batang bawah (bb) dengan 3 (tiga) taraf perlakuan yaitu: penyimpanan 1 (satu) minggu, penyimpanan 2 (dua) minggu, dan penyimpanan 3 (tiga) minggu. Peubah amatan adalah persentase keberhasilan okulasi, waktu bertunas, tinggi tunas, diameter tunas, jumlah daun, jumlah ubi, bobot basah akar, dan bobot kering akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian konsentrasi air kelapa berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase keberhasilan okulasi, bobot basah akar, dan bobot kering akar. Dimana kensentrasi air kelapa yang terbaik ialah pada perlakuan air kelapa 50%. Penyimpanan batang bawah yang semangkin lama mengakibatkan persentase keberhasilan tunas yang lebih sedikit. Lama penyimpanan bb yang terbaik ialah penyimpanan 1 (satu) minggu. Interaksi konsentrasi air kelapa dan lama penyimpanan bb berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun.
