Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are horticultural plants with high economic value and require proper fertilization to support their growth and production.. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of biofertilizers and ZA fertilizer on the growth and production of shallots. The study was conducted on the land of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, at an altitude of ± 27 meters above sea level. Using a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design consisting of 2 factors: Biofertilizer: 0 tons/ha, 1 ton/ha, and 2 tons/ha, and ZA fertilizer: 0 kg/ha, 125 kg/ha, 250 kg/ha, and 375 kg/ha. The research results show that the application of biofertilizer has a significant effect on the wet weight of shallots bulbs, with a dose of 2 tons/ha giving the best results. The application of ZA fertilizer has a significant effect on the plant height of shallots at 7 weeks after planting with an optimum dose of 252 kg/ha. The interaction between biofertilizer and ZA fertilizer has no significant effect on all parameters.
