Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Kandang Ayam, Pupuk Hijau, dan Kapur CaCO3 Pada Tanah Ultisol Terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Jagung

Penelitian ini menguji tiga bahan amandemen berupa pupuk kandang ayam, pupuk hijau, dan kapur CaCO3 pada tanah Ultisol terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman jagung. Hasil pengukuran diterapkan pada tanah di rumah kasa dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 taraf, yaitu : pupuk kandang ayam dosis 12,5 g/pot, 25 g/pot, 37,5 g/pot; pupuk hijau dosis 12,5 g/pot, 25 g/pot, 37,5 g/pot; kapur CaCO3 dosis 2,5 g/pot, 3,75 g/pot, 5 g/pot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian bahan amandemen berupa kapur CaCO3 lebih baik dalam hal mengatasi kemasaman tanah Ultisol daripada pemberian pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk hijau karena mampu meningkatkan pH H2O, pH KCl, dan menurunkan Al-dd tanah secara nyata. Sedangkan untuk pertumbuhan tanaman, pemberian bahan amandemen pupuk kandang ayam lebih baik daripada pemberian pupuk hijau dan kapur CaCO3 karena mampu meningkatkan serapan P, tinggi tanaman, berat kering tajuk, berat kering akar, dan memperpendek umur berbunga tanaman.
This research examined 3 (three) of soil amandements of chicken manure, green fertilizer and lime (CaCO3) on Ultisol acid soil and their effect on the growth of corn. This study was conducted at the green house, College of Agriculture by using randomized block design (RBD) non factorial which consists of 3 (three) treatments and 3 (three) levels of each treatment. First treatment : chicken manure, consists of 3 levels (12,5 g/pot), (25 g/pot), and (37,5 g/pot), respectively. Second treatment : green fertilizer, consist of 3 levels (12,5 g/pot, 25 g/pot, and 37,5 g/pot), respectively. Third treatment : lime (CaCO3), consists of 3 levels (2,5 g/pot, 3,75 g/pot, and 5 g/pot), respectively. The results of this study showed that the application of CaCO3 was much better compared to the other two amandements in increasing soil pH, decrease exchangeable Al significantly. Chicken manure significantly increase plant growth, the absorbtion of P, plant height, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, and shortened the age of flowering, while the other two amandements not significantly affected the parameters measured.
