Utilization of sludge palm oil mills as an alternative supply of nutrients in Ultisol has not optimal. Therefore it needs assessment to utilization of sludge palm oil mills. The experiments was conducted for four months began in November to March in the screen house of Agriculture Faculty of North Sumatra University and the analysis carried out in the Laboratory of Research and Technology Faculty of Agriculture USU. This study uses a randomized block design non factorial with no treatment (Z 0), 21.25 g sludge / pot (Z 1), 42.50 g sludge / pot (Z 2), 63.275 g sludge / pot (Z 3), 85.00 g sludge / pot (Z 4), 106.25 g sludge / pot (Z 5), 127.50 g sludge / pot (Z 6), 148.75 g sludge / pot (Z 7), and 3 replications. The results showed significant sludge Award in increasing nutrient and growth of corn plants in Ultisol namely: soil pH, organic C, available P, plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, shoot dry weight and P uptake of plants. But no significant effect in increasing total N, K exchange, and CEC Ultisol.
