Pertumbuhan Berbagai Umur Bahan Tanam Bud Set Tebu (Saccharum officinarum L.) dengan Konsentrasi NAA yang Berbeda

Guna menghemat penggunaan bibit bagal tebu maka digunakan bahan tanam bud set dengan umur yang sesuai dan pemberian NAA sebagai perangsang pertunasan serta perakaran pada pembibitan tebu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan PTPN II Kebun Tanjung Jati, Kecamatan Binjai Barat, Binjai pada bulan April hingga dengan Juni 2016, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan dua faktor yaitu umur bahan tanam (6,7 dan 8 bulan) dan pemberian NAA (0,100,200 dan 300 ppm). Persentase bertunas dan bobot kering akar tertinggi diperoleh pada penggunaan bahan tanam umur 6 bulan sedangkan panjang tanaman, laju pertumbuhan tanaman, laju pertumbuhan relatif dan bobot basah tajuk tertinggi diperoleh pada penggunaan bahan tanam umur 7 bulan. Panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, laju pertumbuhan tanaman dan laju pertumbuhan relatif tertinggi diperoleh pada pemberian NAA 100 ppm. Interaksi tertinggi laju pertumbuhan tanaman dan laju pertumbuhan relatif 6-8 MST diperoleh pada umur bahan tanam 7 bulan dengan pemberian 300 ppm serta bobot basah tajuk dan bobot kering tajuk tertinggi diperoleh pada umur bahan tanam 6 bulan dengan pemberian NAA 100 ppm. Untuk pertumbuhan terbaik, sebaiknya menggunakan umur bahan tanam 6 bulan dengan 100 ppm NAA.
In order to decrease the use of mule cane seed, it is necessary to use the appropriate bud set plant material and by giving NAA as a stimulate of shoots and roots. Research conducted in the field research of PTPN II Tanjung Jati, District of Binjai Barat, Binjai on April until June 2016, using randomized factorial design with two factors, plant age source material (6,7, 8 month) and NAA concentration (0,100,200 and 300 ppm). The result showed that using 6 month plant material age significantly increase percentage of bud set germination and dry root weight. Using 7 month plant material age significantly increase bud set plant growth rate, relative growth rate, and wet crown weight. Using 100 ppm NAA concentration significantly increase bud set length of plant, leaf number, plant growth rate and relative plant growth rate. Using 7 month plant material age and 300 ppm NAA concentration significantly increase bud set growth rate and bud set relative growth rate 6-8 MST and using 6 month plant age material and supply 300 ppm of NAA significantly increase bud set wet crown weight and dry crown weight. Therefore, to get the best growth of bud set it is recommended to use 6 month plant material age with 100 ppm supply of NAA concentration
