The objective of the research was to determine the effect of the combination of IAA and BAP
on the micro shoot induction of banana Kepok. The research was conducted at the Tissue
Culture Laboratory, Horticultural Seed Center, Gedung Johor, Medan, North Sumatera,
Indonesia, from October 2016 to January 2017. The completely randomized design was used
with two factors; the first factor was IAA (1 mg/l, 2 mg/l, 3 mg/l, 4 mg/l) and the second
factor was BAP (2 mg/l, 4 mg/l, 6 mg/l, 8 mg/l). The result showed that the application of
IAA and BAP significantly affe cted the whole parameters observed. The combination of IAA
and BAP significantly affected the percentage of shoot proliferated and the number of shoots.
The combination of IAA and BAP (I4 B3) showed the highest shoot growth.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi IAA dan BAP terhadap induksi tunas eksplan bonggol pisang kepok ( Musa paradisiaca L) untuk pembentukan tunas mikro. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan UPT. Benih Induk Hortikultura Gedung Johor Medan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia, pada mulai Oktober 2016 sampai dengan Januari 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan dua faktor, yaitu: faktor I adalah IAA, terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu: 1 mg/l ; 2 mg/l ; 3 mg/l ; 4 mg/l dan faktor II adalah BAP terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu : 2 mg/l ; 4 mg/l ; 6 mg/l ; 8 mg/l. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian IAA dan BAP berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua peubah amatan, Kombinasi IAA dan BAP berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase munculnya tunas dan jumlah tunas. Kombinasi perlakuan IAA dan BAP menghasilkan pertumbuhan tunas terbaik yaitu terdapat pada perlakuan I4B3 ( 4 mg/l IAA dan 6 mg/l BAP).
