Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan dan produksi tembakau Deli terhadap intensitas dan dosis pemberian pupuk organik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun PTPN II Bulu Cina, Sumatera Utara pada bulan Maret sampai Mei 2016. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu intensitas pemupukan dengan dua taraf (2x aplikasi: 10 dan 25 hari setelah pindah tanam (HSPT); dan 3x aplikasi: saat pindah tanam, 10, dan 25 HSPT), faktor kedua yaitu dosis pupuk organik dengan lima taraf (5g; 10g; 15g; 20g; dan 25g per tanaman). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas pemupukan 3x nyata meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tembakau Deli pada bobot basah daun pasir, bobot kering daun pasir dan bobot basah daun kaki 1. Dosis pupuk organik 10 g/tan nyata meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi pada bobot basah daun kaki 1, bobot kering daun kaki 1 dan bobot kering daun kaki 2. Interaksi antara intensitas pemupukan dan dosis pupuk organik terbaik (pada kombinasi intensitas pemupukan 3x dan dosis pupuk organik 10 g/tan) berpengaruh nyata pada bobot basah daun pasir dan bobot kering daun pasir.
This study purpose to detect the growth response and production of Deli tobacco on the intensity and dose of organic fertilizer. Research conducted at PTPN II Bulu China plantation, North Sumatera in March to May 2016. The design used was randomized complete block design factorial with two factors. The first factor is the intensity of fertilization with two levels (2x application: 10 and 25 days after transplanting (DAT); and 3x applications: when transplanting, 10, and 25 DAT), the second factor was a dose of solid organic fertilizer with five levels (5g; 10g; 15g; 20g ; and 25g per plant). The result of this research indicate that the intensity of fertilization three times significantly improves the growth and production of wet weight of sand leaf, dry weight of sand leaf and wet weight of feed leaf 1. Doses of organic fertilizer 10 g/plant significantly improves the growth and production of the wet weight of feed leaf 1, dry weight of feed leaf 1 and dry weight of feed leaf 2. Interaction between the intensity of fertilizer and organic fertilizer best dosage (on a combination of the intensity of fertilization three times and 10 g/plant dose of organic fertilizer) significantly effect on the wet weight of sand leaf and dry weight of sand leaf.
