Rosella is a type of medicinal plant. Roselindo 2 is one of the roselle plant varieties in Indonesia. However, the weakness of this variety is that the potential yield of petals is still low than Roselindo 1 so that there needs to be an improvement in character. With the mutation technique using gamma-ray irradiation, it is hoped that it can help to give new and better characteristics to the roselle plant so that it can increase the production of roselle plants and can become one type of plant that is widely in demand in the community. Tests were carried out by comparing the average yield data of irradiated and irradiated plant treatments. Then the data were analyzed using the t-test at 5% and 1% levels using the Minitab 14 program. Data from each dose were averaged. Testing is done by comparing the average result data from the treatment. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the 150 Gy population of M3 generation could accelerate the flowering process in plants (early) and increase the production of the number of petals per plant.
