Abstract

This study aims to know Growth and Production of 3 Sorghum Varieties on Different Doses of Vermicompost Fertilizer. This research was conducted at Jalan Pasar 1 Tanjung Sari, Medan Selayang District, Medan, in July - November 2020. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two treatment factors and three replications. The first factor was the variety of sorghum (Numbu, Bioguma, Super 2) and the second factor was the dosage of vermicompost fertilizer (0, 7,5 , 15, 22,5 t/ha). The parameters observed were plant length, stem diameter, flowering age, production per sample, production per plot, 1000 seeds weight, stover wet weight, stover dry weight, root wet weight, root dry weight. The results of this study indicated that the treatment of varieties significantly affected plant length (8-9 MST), stem diameter, flowering age, seed weight per sample, seed weight per plot, stover dry weight, root wet weight, and root dry weight. The vermicompost fertilizer treatment significantly affected plant length (2-8 MST), stem diameter, flowering age, seed weight per sample, seed weight per plot, stover dry weight. Their interaction significantly affected stem diameter, flowering age, and stover dry weight.
