Abstract

The cucumber has acconsiderable amount of mineral and vitamin content. As the increasing rate of population growth, the market increases demand for cucumbers. Increased Japanese cucumber production can be done by mean the liquid organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the growth and production of Japanese cucumbers on the application of liquid organic fertilizer. This research was conducted at Jalan Bakti Luhur, Medan Helvetia District from July to October 2021. This study used a non-factorial randomized block design consisting of 4 levels of treatment of P0 (0 ml/l), P1 (2 ml/l), P2 ( 4 ml/l) and P3 (6 ml/l). The results indicates that the transmission of liquid organic fertilizer had a definite bearing on crop length, dry weight, fruit weight per sample,number of fruit, fruit diameter and fruit length of Japanese cucumber.
