Peer Review Process

Through two review stages, we will evaluate manuscripts submitted to CONTENT: Journal of Communication Studies. These are the pre-review and substance-review sections. The pre-review of the article aims to assess the manuscript's alignment with the journal's focus and scope, as well as the journal's style and specific CJCS writing guidelines. In addition, the journal editor will utilize Turnitin to verify the article's plagiarism level, ensuring it remains unpublished. Only original and previously unpublished manuscripts will be considered for review. At least two independent reviewers who are experts in the related area will review the manuscripts after they have passed the pre-review stage. This journal uses the Double-Blind Peer Review Process, where the duration of review is 10–15 weeks. The reviewer may request a re-review after the author revises his or her article (if necessary). Returning a reviewed manuscript to the author(s) for revision does not guarantee acceptance of the revised manuscript for publication. The final decision will be based on the reviewers' comments after their second review of the revised manuscript. The journal editor, under the authority of the Editor in Chief, will determine the publication status of an article based on the recommendations from reviewers. We will publish the accepted articles as Article in Press ahead of the regular issue's scheduled publication.
