Journal History
The Journal Business Administration: Entrepreneurship and Creative Industry (JBA) is an academic publication managed by the Business Administration Study Programme of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of North Sumatra. Launched in January 2022, JBA is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes biannually, with issues released in January and July.
JBA focuses on research related to entrepreneurship and the creative industries, aiming to disseminate scientific articles on business administration topics. The journal accepts empirical research, conceptual or theoretical frameworks, and literature reviews concerning various business issues, with a preference for empirical research.
Each publication contains five research articles authored by scholars and professionals, primarily from Indonesia. As of December 2024, JBA has published six issues, featuring contributions from numerous authors across the country.
JBA is indexed in Garuda (Garda Rujukan Digital) by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, enhancing its visibility and accessibility to a broader academic audience.
The journal is published by TALENTA Publisher and adheres to open-access policies, allowing researchers, lecturers, students, business scholars, and professionals worldwide to access its content freely.
