The Title of the Manuscript

The manuscript title should be concise, clear, informative, and representative of the research content. It should accurately reflect the main focus of the study and avoid uncommon abbreviations, unnecessary technical terms, and overly general expressions.

The title must not exceed 12 words in Bahasa Indonesia. It should be written in Times New Roman, 18-point font, bold, with the first letter of each major word capitalized.

Author Names and Affiliations

Authors' names must be written in full without academic titles or degrees. For authors with more than one name, surnames should not be abbreviated to prevent errors in citation and indexing. If there is more than one author, the names should be separated by commas. Authors with a single name should use their name as officially registered.

Authors' names should be formatted in Times New Roman, 13.5-point font, bold and italic, with left alignment. Authors should use the predefined J.Author style provided in the JoMAS manuscript template.

Each author's institutional affiliation must include the department, faculty, university, or institution. Affiliations should be written in Times New Roman, 10-point font, italic, using the predefined J.Affiliation style.

The institutional address provided in the footer of the first page should include the street address, postal code, city, province, and country.

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract must provide a concise and comprehensive overview of the research. It should clearly present the research objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions.

The abstract must be self-contained and should not include citations, references, uncommon abbreviations, or unnecessary technical terminology. It should accurately highlight the significance and main contributions of the research.

The abstract must contain 150–200 words and be written in Times New Roman, 10-point font, with single line spacing, a 2 cm left indentation, no right indentation, and 10-point spacing before the next heading.

Keywords play an important role in manuscript indexing, discoverability, and accessibility. Authors must provide 5–10 relevant keywords or key phrases that accurately represent the main topics and contributions of their research.

Keywords should be arranged alphabetically, separated by semicolons (;), and formatted in Times New Roman, 10-point font. Abbreviations should only be used when they are widely recognized within the relevant field of study.

Introduction

The Introduction should provide a clear background of the research problem, explain its significance, and establish the scientific context of the study.

Authors should present a concise and critical review of relevant literature to explain the current state of knowledge (state of the art), identify limitations in previous studies, and highlight the research gap that the present study intends to address.

The literature review should be organized thematically or according to relevant theoretical and methodological perspectives rather than simply describing previous studies author by author.

The Introduction should clearly demonstrate the research problem, research gap, novelty, and scientific contribution of the study.

Authors are encouraged to explain how their research differs from previous studies and what new theoretical, methodological, or practical contributions it offers.

The research objectives should be explicitly stated at the end of the Introduction.

Example of a Research Gap and Novelty Statement:

"Previous studies have examined the influence of various organizational factors on employee performance. However, limited research has investigated the mediating role of innovative work behavior in this relationship, particularly in the context of digital transformation. Therefore, this study aims to address this research gap by examining the influence of digital work systems and digital mindset on employee performance through innovative work behavior as a mediating variable."

Research Method

The Research Method section should clearly explain the research design, procedures, and analytical techniques used to achieve the study's objectives.

Authors must provide sufficient methodological information to ensure that the research can be understood, evaluated, and replicated by other researchers.

This section should describe the research approach and design, study population and sample, sampling techniques, data sources, data collection procedures, research instruments, variables and measurements, and data analysis methods.

Where applicable, authors should also explain the statistical models, analytical software, and procedures used to test research hypotheses.

For quantitative research, the methods should include relevant information regarding measurement validity, reliability, and statistical analysis.

For qualitative research, authors should explain the selection of participants or cases, data collection procedures, analytical techniques, and strategies used to ensure research credibility and trustworthiness.

For mixed-methods research, authors should describe the integration of quantitative and qualitative approaches.

Established research methods should be supported by appropriate references. Authors should focus on explaining relevant methodological adaptations rather than repeating detailed descriptions of widely established procedures.

Results and Discussion

The Results and Discussion section should present the main findings of the research and provide a comprehensive interpretation of their significance.

Research findings must be supported by sufficient empirical evidence, including relevant data, statistical results, tables, figures, or qualitative findings, as appropriate.

The results should directly address the research objectives, research questions, or hypotheses presented in the Introduction.

Authors should clearly explain the meaning and implications of their findings rather than merely repeating numerical results or describing the contents of tables and figures.

The discussion should critically compare the findings with previous studies, highlighting similarities, differences, and possible explanations.

Authors are expected to demonstrate how their findings contribute to existing theories, research methods, managerial practices, or policy development.

The discussion should address the following questions: How do the findings answer the research questions or objectives? What theoretical or empirical explanations support the findings? Are the results consistent with previous research? If differences exist, what factors may explain them? What are the theoretical and practical implications of the findings?

The Results and Discussion section should emphasize the scientific contribution and novelty of the research.

Conclusion and Future Research

The Conclusion should provide a clear and concise summary of the main findings in relation to the research objectives and hypotheses.

Authors should explain how the study contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the relevant field of management, economics, or business.

The conclusion should emphasize the key scientific contributions, theoretical implications, and practical relevance of the findings.

Authors should avoid repeating the abstract, presenting extensive statistical results, or introducing new information that has not been discussed previously.

Where appropriate, authors should acknowledge the limitations of the study and provide recommendations for future research.

Suggestions for future research should be specific, relevant, and based on the findings and limitations of the current study.

Acknowledgements (Optional)

The Acknowledgements section provides an opportunity for authors to recognize individuals, institutions, or organizations that have contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

Authors may acknowledge financial support, research grants, institutional assistance, technical support, proofreading, data collection assistance, or other relevant contributions.

Funding agencies and grant identification numbers should be clearly stated when applicable.

Authors should not include the names of co-authors in the Acknowledgements section.

References

All sources cited in the manuscript must be included in the References section, and every reference listed must be cited in the manuscript.

Each manuscript must contain at least 10 references, with a minimum of 80% derived from primary academic sources, such as peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings, preferably published within the last five years.

Relevant academic books and other authoritative scholarly publications may also be included when necessary to support theoretical foundations and research methods.

Authors should prioritize recent, relevant, and reputable scientific publications, particularly those directly related to the research topic.

The reference list must provide complete bibliographic information, including author names, publication year, article or book title, journal or publisher name, volume, issue, page numbers, and DOI where available.

JoMAS uses the American Psychological Association (APA) citation and referencing style. Authors must ensure that all in-text citations and reference entries follow the APA format consistently.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software, such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote, to improve citation accuracy and consistency.

All references must be carefully checked for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before manuscript submission.

Footnotes

Footnotes should be used only when necessary to provide supplementary information that cannot be appropriately incorporated into the main text.

Footnotes must be numbered consecutively using superscript numbers and placed at the bottom of the page where they are cited.

Footnotes should not be included in the abstract or reference list. Footnotes associated with tables should use superscript letters and be placed directly below the relevant table.
