Peer Review Process
Two review parts will evaluate manuscripts submitted to the Global Forest Journal (GFJ). These parts are pre-review and substance review. The pre-review of the article is aimed at reviewing the conformity of the manuscript with the journal focus and scope, as well as the journal style and specific GFJ writing guidelines. The journal editor will check the plagiarism level using Turnitin to ensure this article has not been published. If a manuscript has over 25% plagiarism based on the result of the Turnitin check,
We will return the manuscript to the author for revision for plagiarism. Only original and previously unpublished manuscripts will be considered and reviewed.
Once manuscripts have passed the pre-review stage, they are reviewed by at least two independent referees who are experts in the relevant field. This journal uses the Double-Blind Peer Review Process, where the review duration is 3-10 weeks.
The editor evaluates the recommendation and notifies the author of the manuscript status:
- Accepted for publication
- Accepted for publication with minor changes
- Accepted for publication after re-review or
- Rejected.
The author will receive comments from reviewers and editors and immediately respond and correct them as suggested by reviewers and editors two weeks after receiving an email from the editor team.
The journals will not consider material previously copyrighted, published, or accepted for publication. The review process will ensure that all authors have equal opportunity for publication of their papers.
