Performance of the Social Service in Implementing the Street Children Development Program in Medan City

Abstract

The Medan City Social Service is an institution that has the authority to provide guidance to street children. Guidance efforts are carried out in accordance with Minister of Social Affairs Regulation Number 16 of 2019 concerning National Social Rehabilitation Standards which includes controlling, data collection, assessment and guidance in halfway houses. The aim of this research is to determine the performance and factors inhibiting the performance of the Social Service in implementing the Street Children Development Program in Medan City. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques using interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. This research uses performance indicators from Agus Dwiyanto (2018:50-51). Where the results of this research show that the Social Service provides quite good performance in the implementation of coaching street children in Medan City which can be seen through the Productivity indicator by being able to maintain consistent implementation of coaching that complies with the rules and the existence of communication channels and transparent cooperation with related parties. to access information and reports regarding the implementation of street children development programs.
