The process will be conducted in two steps, covering the pre-review and substance review. The complete process from submission until publication will be conducted with a maximum duration of 16 weeks.

The editor shall ensure that the peer review process is fair, unbiased, and timely. Research articles must typically be reviewed by at least two external and independent reviewers, and where necessary the editor should seek additional opinions.

The editor shall select reviewers who have suitable expertise in the relevant field and shall follow best practice in avoiding the selection of fraudulent peer reviewers. The reviewer may request a re-review after the author revises his/her manuscript (if necessary). The return of a reviewed manuscript to the author(s) for revision does not guarantee acceptance of the revised manuscript for publication.
