CONTENT: Journal of Communication Studies is a scientific journal managed by the Communication Science Laboratory and is under the auspices of the Bachelor of Communication Sciences Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Sumatera Utara. This peer-reviewed journal is published by TALENTA Publisher 2 times a year, with a double-blind policy for all articles that will be published in May and November.

Journal of Content is expected to be a forum for research results in the field of Communication Science that are relevant to the current situation. The level of communication studies presented can go beyond various levels, both micro, mezzo, and macro.

All articles in this journal will be reviewed by academically competent parties with a more specific focus of study in each field of Communication Science.

As a form of commitment to the advancement of science and technology, Journal Content follows an open policy that allows published articles to be available online and free of charge without having to subscribe. Each publication contains 5 (five) research articles written in English or Bahasa, which will be available for open access online. Journal content is expected to be a means of periodic national scientific publications or reputable international publications through online publications.

The Journal Business Administration: Entrepreneurship and Creative Industry (JBA) is an academic publication managed by the Business Administration Study Programme of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of North Sumatra. Launched in January 2022, JBA is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes biannually, with issues released in January and July.

JBA focuses on research related to entrepreneurship and the creative industries, aiming to disseminate scientific articles on business administration topics. Jurnal Kajian Agraria dan Kedaulatan Pangan (JKAKP) merupakan jurnal yang diampu oleh Pusat Kajian Agraria dan Hak Asasi Petani (PUSKAHAP) yang berada di bawah Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) Universitas Sumatera Utara. Edisi pertama dari jurnal ini dimulai sejak April 2022 dan akan diterbitkan 2 kali dalam 1 tahun. Jurnal ini berfokus pada pandangan kritis terhadap politik dan pembangunan pedesaan, agraria, dan sistem pangan, serta berbagai fenomena sosial, ekonomi, politik dan budaya petani. Mengingat studi-studi mengenai politik agraria, sistem pangan, pembangunan pedesaan, dan kajian sosial, ekonomi, politik dan budaya petani telah menjadi isu yang penting untuk dibahas. Oleh karena itu, tujuan utama dari jurnal ini adalah untuk mendorong munculnya berbagai kajian maupun pemikiran kritis mengenai berbagai studi sosial, ekonomi, politik dan budaya petani yang terkait dengan instrumen hak asasi petani, gerakan agraria dan kedaulatan pangan.

Kajian ini mencakup berbagai tingkatan. Mulai dari tingkat lokal: bagaimana struktur sosial di pedesaan; pengorganisasian dan pemberdayaan masyarakat pedesaan; konflik agraria; fenomena-fenomena di pedesaan secara kontemporer; dan keterlibatan aktor dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya. Pada tingkat nasional: agenda legislation dan kebijakan publik yang terkait pada petani dan kedaulatan pangan. Sampai dengan tingkat internasional: gerakan trans-nasional; serta implementasi UNDROP (hak asasi petani) di berbagai belahan dunia.

Jurnal ini merupakan wadah yang tepat bagi para akademisi, pemerintah, aktivis organisasi petani maupun pegiat lembaga gerakan agraria lainnya untuk berkontribusi menyampaikan kajiannya. Seluruh tulisan dalam jurnal ini akan ditinjau oleh pakar-pakar yang berkompeten secara akademis dengan memiliki fokus kajian mendalam terkait petani, agraria, dan sistem pangan.

International Journal Linguistics of Sumatra and Malay (IJLSM)

The International Journal Linguistics of Sumatra and Malay is an international scholarly forum dedicated to leading research on language and society. It embraces both established and emerging approaches in sociolinguistic inquiry, with each contribution expected to integrate both linguistic and social dimensions. The journal views language not merely as a reflection of society but as a fundamental component that shapes social life itself.
It welcomes submissions from a wide range of traditions, including ethnographic linguistics, variationist studies, constructivist approaches, the sociology of language, the social psychology of language, anthropological linguistics, discourse analysis, language and gender studies, pragmatics, and conversation analysis. The journal encourages critical engagement with linguistic theories and the application of social theory to linguistic phenomena.

The journal was first published in 2022 by Talenta Publisher, under the management of the Doctoral Program in Linguistics, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara. It is published in collaboration with the Dosen Indonesia Semesta (DIS) Daerah Sumatera Utara (Indonesian Lecturers Association) and the Masyarakat Linguistik Indonesia (MLI) Cabang Universitas Sumatera Utara (Indonesian Linguistic Society).

DINAMIS

One of a self-ligating bracket is Damon bracket system, most is the blending of passive self-ligating brackets and hightechnology archwires. Damon bracket system usually needs the absence of teeth extraction for treatment but in some Asian cases the treatment still need to extract teeth. Recently, more recognized that the othodontic treatment goals shifted from dentition to facial esthetic, not only the convexity of facial esthetic, but also how to create a nice smile arc. This case report presents two treatments of mild Class III severe crowded teeth with Damon bracket system, the extraction case and the non extraction case. The first case, female patient, 17 years old, had 0,5 mm overjet and 1 mm overbite. Both first premolars maxilla and mandibular had been extracted. The second case, female patient, 13 years old, had - 4 mm overjet and 3 mm overbite, none of teeth had been extracted. High torque Damon bracket system slot 0.022â€ was applied to the first patient and low torque with slot 0.018â€ to the second patient. Class III dental relationship was corrected with a positive overbite, overjet and good occlusion was achieved for both patients within 17 months. There were no more crowding teeth, profile is also improved. In conclusion, damon bracket system was given the fast and painless treatment with longer time interval of controls.

Dinamis is an electronic journal in mechanical engineering managed by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and published by TALENTA PUBLISHER - Universitas Sumatera Utara. INDONESIAN JOURNAL OF MEDICAL ANTHROPOLOGY

Indonesian Journal of Medical Anthropology is the first online journal published by the Anthropology Laboratory of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The first edition of the journal began in September 2020 and will be published in two editions annually. Indonesian Journal of Medical Anthropology provides a global forum for scholarly articles on the social patterns of ill-health and disease transmission, and experiences of and knowledge about health, illness, and wellbeing. These include the nature, organization, and movement of peoples, technologies and treatments, and how inequalities pattern access to these.

Articles published in the journal showcase the theoretical sophistication, methodological soundness, and ethnographic richness of contemporary medical anthropology. Through the publication of empirical articles and editorials, we encourage our authors and readers to engage critically with the key debates of our time. The subject matter covered in the Indonesian Journal of Medical Anthropology is relevant not only to health care professionals who recognize the importance of attaining a better understanding of the socio-cultural dimensions of health but also to any social scientist who has an interest in health-related issues. Indonesian Journal of Medical Anthropology dedicated to the profession and practice of medical anthropology, which uses concepts and methods from anthropology to produce new understandings of health, disease, illness, treatment, and care. Open to experts and those interested in the study of social psychology, the severity, and public health. Indonesian Journal of Agricultural Research (InJAR) is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal published by TALENTA (Universitas Sumatera Utara's Journals Publisher) and managed by Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. It is based on DIKTI accreditation standard and covers all aspects of agricultural researches including Animal Science and Fisheries, Agribusiness, Agricultural Technology, and Agriculture and Bioscience. Manuscripts with either basic, applied, and advance studies are accepted. Each of the manuscripts need to be completed with well design method and systematic review on previous works. This journal aims to provide academic insights for policy makers, as well as valuable references for further studies. All manuscripts are double-blind refereed before acceptance.

InJAR is published in March, July, and November. Up until Vol. 1 No.3 (2018), each publication contains 10 (ten) research articles which will be published online. From 2012 to 2017, this journal has been published four times a year but since 2018, this journal has published scientific publications regularly twice a year in March and September. This is done in order to increase the selectivity of incoming articles in order to maintain the quality of scientific publications in this journal.

Due to technical problems in the previous Open Journal System (OJS) system, since Vol. 8 No. 2 of 2019, the Jurnal Teknik Kimia USU was moved to https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jtk/ which was facilitated by Talenta Publisher, Universitas Sumatera Utara, in order to improve the governance of scientific publications in the OJS.

SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal is a medical student scientific journal from SCORE PEMA FK USU (Standing Committee on Research Exchange of Student Government Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra). SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal is one of the SCORE PEMA FK USU icons that works together with many reviewers to support the quality and validity of a manuscript. Initially, in 2009, SCORE PEMA FK USU formed a medical student journal with the name of JIMKI (Indonesian Medical Student Scientific Journal). Then for some reason, the management of JIMKI has been moved to BAPIN-ISMKI authority (National Scientific Analysis and Development Agency-Indonesian Medical Student Senate Association). Subsequently, in 2011 a new journal was formed with the name of SCRIPTA by SCORE PEMA FK USU. Since 2016 until now, the SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal was published in 1 volume with 2 numbers every year in February and August that can be accessed here. SCRIPTA SCORE Scientific Medical Journal consists of 6-12 manuscripts with types of manuscripts such as research articles, review articles, and case reports in each volume. Asian Australasian Neuro and Health Science Journal is a forum to accommodate and publish for research results and writings from fellow writers Every college is required to implement the tri dharma tertiary institution consisting of teaching, community service and research. One of the research outputs is scientific work published in a journal. By publishing scientific work, an academic or researcher can introduce his work nationally and internationally. Based on the circular letter Director General of Higher Education No. 152 of 2012 that every bachelor degree, master degree and doctoral degree must publish their final assignments in national, nationally accredited and international journals, so the need for journal managers becomes very important.

Currently, especially in North Sumatra, there are no accredited national journals or international reputable journals that accommodate the needs of academics in publishing their scientific work. Therefore Sumatera Utara University (USU), as one of the higher education institutions, through the Faculty of Medicine seeks to meet these needs by creating new scientific journals in the field of medical science.

Psikologia: Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi

Psikologia: Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi is a peer-reviewed scientific journal in psychology, managed by the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Sumatera Utara. The journal aims to accommodate the exchange of ideas among Indonesian psychologists and scientists, but also to disseminate their scientific propositions and empirical findings to the global community. Since 2016, the journal has been published in an electronic form to facilitate the rapid dissemination of research findings.

The journal focuses on bringing psychological science theory, empirical evidence, and practice to explain and provide solutions to social and behavioral problems that are especially relevant but not limited to Indonesian society. As such, we accept a wide range of research domains in psychology, including social psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, educational psychology, developmental psychology, and clinical psychology.

We believe that human behaviors and societal problems can be approached through various methodologies. For this reason, we accept not only sound and reproducible quantitative studies but also the rich narratives of qualitative inquiries. We also encourage the mix of both methodologies.

By considering that most psychological research has been conducted among WEIRD (Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic) samples, we believe that it is important to test and replicate mainstream psychological theories and findings among Indonesian in particular and other non-WEIRD societies in general.
