Caring: Indonesian Journal of Nursing Science (IJNS) was formed by the Faculty of Nursing in 2019. In 2019, the journal Caring used OJS for journal management.  

Caring: Indonesian Journal of Nursing Science (IJNS) has changed journal managers, including Dr. Dudut Tanjung, S.Kp., M.Kep., and Sp.KMB as editor-in-chief in 2019, Roxsana Devi Tumanggor, S.Kep., Ns., M. Nurs as editor-in-chief in 2020, Dina Rasmita, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep. as editor-in-chief in 2021 until now. 

Caring: Indonesian Journal of Nursing Science (IJNS) has changed its article templates in 2023, starting with the publication of volume 5, no. 1 in 2023.

The composition of editors and reviewers in the Caring: Indonesian Journal of Nursing Science (IJNS) changed in 2023 and 2024. In 2024, several editors and reviewers from abroad were involved in the Caring Journal.

Caring: Indonesian Journal of Nursing Science (IJNS) license has changed from CC BY to CC BY SA in 2023. This was changed due to the unified license for journals managed by Talenta Publisher, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
