Screening Plagiarism

In today's digital age, copying information from the internet seems very easy, whether from articles, journals, or other people's work. However, taking someone else's work without clearly citing the source—or what is commonly called plagiarism—is a detrimental act. This is where plagiarism screening plays a crucial role.

This process works like a "smart filter" that compares a text with millions of documents, articles, and sources on the internet in seconds. The goal is not to stifle creativity, but rather to ensure that every work produced is truly the author's own thoughts.

By conducting plagiarism screening, we not only learn to respect the copyright and hard work of other authors, but also train ourselves to think critically, honestly, and build strong credibility as professional writers and academics.

Dentika Dental Journal has a policy for screening for plagiarism. We will ensure that every published article will not exceed a 20% similarity score. Plagiarism scanning for each submitted manuscript is carried out using Turnitin software, provided by the University of North Sumatra.
