Writing Format
Manuscript in MS Word or PDF format (generated from MS Word) must be submitted to Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri (JSTI) through the Online Submission System by accessing the JSTI portal (https://talenta.usu.ac.id/jsti). The length of the manuscript is expected not to exceed 25 printed pages (1.5 line spacing) including abstract, figures, tables, and references. The abstract must describes the significant points of the manuscript containing the aims of the paper, methods, result, and conclusion, within 100-200 words. The authors should provide 5-10 keywords or phrases that characterize the manuscript. The manuscript is written in English and SI system (Système International d'Unités, often referred to as "International Units") for measurements and units. Writing System
The article framework consists of:
- Research Title, Author Name, Keyword, and Abstract,
- Introduction,
- Research Materials and Methods,
- Data Analysis and Discussion,
- Conclusions and Suggestions,
- References, and
- Attachments
Research Title, Author Name, Keyword and Abstract
Research titles written with Times New Roman letter type (12 pt) in capital letters are symmetrically made as short as possible and clear, pinpointing the problem to be proposed, but do not allow for diverse interpretive opportunities.
The author's name is written under the title of the article without an academic degree and does not begin with the word "by". When the author is more than one person, names are written on one line separated by commas. The name of the Institution is written in the first-page footnote of the paper, beginning with the symbol according to the sequence of author names.
Keywords contain scientific terms that are not commonly used or known in general.
The abstract must be written in English well and correctly, contain the core of the issues to be put forward, the method of solving it, the results obtained and conclusions, and not be more than 250 words, with a space of 10 points in Times New Roman.
Introduction
The Introduction section contains background, research reasons, problem formulation, statement of purpose, and organization of writing. The writing does not use subtitle (sub-heading).
Materials and Research Methods
Section Materials and Research Methods contains theoretical materials basis and research steps in conducting research, presented in full and solid.
Data Analysis and Discussion
The Data Analysis and Discussion Section is expressed solidly and clearly, not a row of data tables.
Conclusions and Suggestions
The Conclusions and Suggestions section is the closing article. Conclusions are written without numbers and are presented in paragraph form. Suggestions are also presented in paragraph form.
References
We strongly advise authors to use primary references such as journal articles or proceedings published within the last ten years. All quotes and references (libraries) used by the authors should be presented in this section consistent with the writings, drawings, or tables cited. Authors must use or include at least ten (10) references in their manuscripts. All references must be written in IEEE Style. We strongly recommend writing references using reference management software such as Mendeley.
- The author's name is abbreviated while the family name is listed in full name.
Example: J. L. Riggs, Production System Planning, Analysis, and Control, 3rd Ed. New York: John Willey & Son, 1981. - For authors who do not have a surname, the author's name is listed completely.
Example: Suharsimi, Research Procedure: A Practice Approach. Jakarta: Rineka Cipta, 1998. - For references to journals or bulletins, the title of the article, journal name, volume, number, and the page should be written.
Example: M. Grijalvo, J. Maheut, and J. Mula, "Ensuring Sustainability: New Challenges for Organizational Engineering." Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management, vol 14 no. 1, pp 1-2.
