Peer Review Process

Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri uses Double Blind Review. The article sent by the writer will be reviewed by the editor previously. The article will be reviewed whether it is within our focus and scope, or has any major methodological weaknesses. All submitted texts that pass this stage will be examined using Turnitin to identify plagiarism before being reviewed by the reviewer. The article will then be sent anonymously to reviewers (minimum 2 Reviewers), Reviewers' comments are also sent to the author to take any necessary actions and responses. The revised manuscript will be decided and later evaluated in the editorial board meeting. the final decision will be sent to the associated writer afterward. An article is reviewed based on this assessment whether or not it is suitable for publication.

Manuscript submitted to Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri will be evaluated through two review parts. These parts are pre-review and substance review.

The pre-review of the article is aimed at reviewing the conformity of the manuscript with the journal focus and scope as well as the journal style and specific Jurnal Sistem Teknik Industri writing guidelines. Besides, the journal editor will check the plagiarism level using Turnitin to ensure this article has not been published. Only original and previously unpublished manuscripts will be considered for review.

After the manuscripts passed the pre-review stage, the manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent referees who are experts in the related area. This journal uses Single Blind Peer Review Process, where the duration of review is 10 weeks. The reviewer may request a re-review after the author revises his/her article (if necessary). The return of a reviewed manuscript to the author(s) for revision does not guarantee acceptance of the revised manuscript for publication. The final decision will be based on the comments of reviewers, upon their second review of the revised manuscript.

Journal editor (authorized by Editor in Chief) will decide whether the article will be published or not, based on the recommendations from reviewers. The articles which have been declared accepted will be published before the regular issue is published on schedule, as Article in Press.
