Authorship Criteria

Indonesian Journal of Agricultural Research (InJAR) is committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and integrity in the attribution of scholarly work based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) criteria. To qualify as an author, the individual needs to have a substantial intellectual contribution in:

  • The conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; and/ or
  • Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; and/ or
  • Approving the final version to be published; and/ or
  • Ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

All authors need to disclose relevant conflicts of interest and ensure that information concerning funding, data, research methods, and other declarations is accurate. For collaborative research involving multiple institutions or disciplines, authors are encouraged to establish clear authorship arrangements at an early stage of the research process and review them when contributions change.

Authors need to decide on a corresponding author who serves as the primary contact between the authors and the journal throughout submission, peer review, revision, and publication, which includes:

  • Communicating with the journal during submission, peer review, and production; and
  • Confirming that all authors meet the authorship criteria and have approved the manuscript; and
  • Providing accurate author names, affiliations, contact information, and contribution statements
  • Confirming the order of authors based on the nature and extent of their scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript; and
  • Confirming that all listed authors have agreed to the submission; and
  • Ensuring that all authors have agreed to the order of authorship; and
  • Providing the Author Contribution Statement; and
  • Managing post-publication correspondence and corrections.
