This paper presents a methodology that integrates Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Value Engineering (VE), and Lean principles to prioritize control tests in product design. The objective of this research is to identify and address the problems associated with the coffee bean hulling machine and propose improvements to enhance its performance and service life. The study was carried out at a manufacturing company specializing in production machines. The House of Quality (HoQ) matrix was developed to prioritize the improvement areas. Meanwhile, the Value Engineering method was employed to propose alternative components considering cost and performance factors, and prioritizing them with a lean approach. The results of the research indicate that the integration of QFD and Value Engineering successfully articulates consumer needs into technical characteristics and provides concrete improvements. Proposed improvements include using a steel blade material, optimizing the transmission, and adding a magnet to the hopper to prevent metal particles from entering the machine, and implementing design changes for improved performance and efficiency. The integration of QFD and VE allowed for the optimization of functionality and cost, ultimately enhancing the value of the product for consumers and reducing manufacturing costs.
