Publication Ethics

The Journal of Civil Engineering and Public Infrastructure Management (JCE-PIM) upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, reviewers, and editors, are expected to adhere to ethical principles based on the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

  1. Duties of Authors

Authors must ensure that their submissions represent original research and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
All sources of data, references, and contributions from other individuals or institutions must be properly cited.
Any form of plagiarism, data manipulation, or duplication is strictly prohibited.
Authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest that may influence their research or its interpretation.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript before submission.

  1. Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts are suitable for publication based on academic merit, relevance, and quality.
Editorial decisions are made impartially, without discrimination based on the authors’ gender, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer review process and maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
Editors should take appropriate action if ethical misconduct, such as plagiarism or data fabrication, is identified during or after the review process.

  1. Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to conduct evaluations objectively, providing constructive, professional, and timely feedback.
They must maintain confidentiality and refrain from using any information obtained during the review process for personal benefit.
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and report any ethical concerns to the editorial team.

  1. Duties of the Publisher

TALENTA Publisher, as the official publisher of the Journal of Civil Engineering and Public Infrastructure Management (JCE-PIM), is committed to maintaining academic integrity and supporting ethical publishing practices.
The publisher ensures editorial independence, transparency, and compliance with international publication standards.
TALENTA Publisher provides the necessary infrastructure to support quality assurance, indexing, and open access dissemination of scholarly works.

  1. Handling of Misconduct

In cases of suspected research misconduct, falsification, plagiarism, or redundant publication, the editorial board will conduct a fair investigation following COPE procedures.
Proven cases of ethical violation will result in corrective measures, which may include retraction, publication of an erratum, or notification to the author’s institution.
