History Journal
The Journal of Civil Engineering and Public Infrastructure Management (JCE-PIM) was established in 2025 under the Civil Engineering Postgraduate Programs, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The journal was founded as part of the faculty’s academic initiative to provide a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to publish and exchange knowledge in the areas of civil engineering and public infrastructure management.
JCE-PIM aims to promote the dissemination of scientific findings and innovations that contribute to the advancement of engineering knowledge, technological applications, and sustainable development practices. Since its establishment, the journal has also emphasized the integration of circular economy principles into the planning, design, and management of infrastructure systems at both national and international levels.
The inaugural issue of JCE-PIM will be published in December 2025, marking the beginning of its triannual publication schedule (December, April, and August). Each issue will feature seven peer-reviewed research articles that reflect scientific rigor, originality, and relevance to contemporary engineering challenges.
With its commitment to open access publishing and academic integrity, JCE-PIM aspires to become a credible scientific medium connecting research outcomes with the broader needs of sustainable infrastructure development in Indonesia and the global community.
